The Jay Hotel is a contemporary 4.5-star lifestyle hotel located in the heart of San Francisco, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Known for its stylish design and vibrant atmosphere, the hotel blends modern luxury with the unique cultural charm of San Francisco, making it a standout destination for both
travellers and locals.
As part of a broader AvroKO project to design this modern lifestyle hotel for Marriott International, I had the opportunity to collaborate on a specific aspect of the project: the development of the hotel uniforms' creative direction. This required a deep understanding of several factors, including:
Brand Identity: Ensuring that the uniforms reflected the unique character of the Autograph Collection while aligning with the overall brand vision of The Jay Hotel.
Interior Design Aesthetics: Integrating the uniform design with the hotel’s interior style, creating a cohesive visual experience for guests.
Local San Francisco Influences: Drawing inspiration from the distinct characteristics of the San Francisco location, ensuring the uniforms reflected the city’s spirit and culture.
My role also involved guiding the style and usability of the uniforms, ensuring they were both functional and aligned with the hotel’s brand. I developed mood boards that inspired the client and served as a foundation for further development of the uniform designs, ensuring a seamless and cohesive vision across all elements of the guest experience.
